Digisat 1 will be a broadband and HDTV satellite operated by UK based company Avanti Screenmedia. It will carry the "equivalent of 40 transponders of 33MHz bandwidth". In reality this means it will operate 2 in the Ku band and 6 Ka band for data transmissions (Ka band uses a lot of bandwidth). The satellite type designation is Hylas = Highly Adaptable Spacecraft)
