Read this stuff FIRST! Its important if you want me to email you back.
Please note that whilst I read all emails with great interest, it is no longer possible for me to reply to every one. I now get a lot of emails about both analogue and digital reception, and whilst I try to help where I can, Im not a free help desk - I have never asked for any payment for any help but my limited free time is valuable as well.
I dont have any additional info about individual channels closedown plans, so dont ask. When I know - its posted on the site.
A better way of getting support is to join one
of the satellite forums - theres dozens of helpful folks on them willing to give advice to
anyone. Two of the best are Satellites.co.uk A nice friendly forum with over 100,000 members
and chock full of useful info. Or if you are a beginner ready to dabble in a new hobby
wanting a smaller forum to begin with, try Satellitehelp.co.uk. This second one is aimed specifically at
beginners - its a small and friendly site where newbies can ask the basic questions
without the fear of being ridiculed as can sometimes happen on the big forums. (Although
all ability and interest levels are always welcomed of course).
You will find me part of the admin team on both forums as "Analoguesat" so dont
forget to say hello!
Dont try sending me any files without emailing me first and getting an ok. (I always delete any emails that contain attachments Im not expecting to protect my computer.)
Please put an appropriate subject into the subject line of your email - Im snowed under with dozens of junk mails every evening when I log on. If you are contacting me about something satellite related from the web site - put something satellite related in the subject. If you just put "hi" or something similar, chances are it will get lost in the dozen spam messages which say "hi". So I'll miss it when Im zapping the rubbish. I use a nifty bit of software called MailWasher to scan the emails on the server before I download them, so anything I consider rubbish, or that isnt obviously interesting is immediately deleted unread without ever coming anywhere near my computer.
LInk exchanges Im not interested in improving the ranking of my sites by link exchanging with commercial enterprises flogging batteries, financial products, gambling sites, and definitely not any porn sites thank you very much. This site is for my own amusement and hopefully provides a useful service to hobbyists too so Im not bothered if its not linked to anywhere else. Dont bother emailing for link requests (Quite why anybody would be dozy enough to think a hobby satellite site would be interested in a link exchange with a site flogging dubious financial products baffles me, but it happens regularly.) The best reply you will get is "not interested" so dont waste your time or minealthough Ive more or less given up replying now.
Dont email asking for details of how to hack / crack any pay tv services. Im not interested in the subject, and you will get a terse reply - if I bother replying at all.
OK - happy with my rules? If so, then please feel free to contact me & I'll be delighted to hear from you :-) !

Change the "at" to @
You MUST get that address right. Anything that gets past MailWasher but is incorrectly addressed is automatically deleted unread..... :-)
I normally try to reply within 48 hours, but it might take longer if Im busy.
If you arrived here from a search engine and dont see the frameset, click here to get to the front page.
The web site will not work properly if you dont.
