DBS broadcasting to Europe
In the late 1980's , satellites were planned which would provide a few extra tv services to European countries. The idea was to have high power satellites which could be picked up on very small dishes. The idea was eventually abandoned when the lower power multi channel satellites were put into service in the early 1990's.
