11612 H MTV Europe
This one was always a fta channel, although a Sky analogue decoder scrambled it! When Sky put MTV UK on the pay channel line up, they didnt want people watching MTV Europe for free. The MTV Europe signal carried a special flag that tricked a Sky box into scrambling the signal. As from 1st May 2001, MTV Europe went properly fta when the VH1 and MTV UK pay tv services closed.
There are one or two other analogue signals transmitting from obscure satellites, but I cant find any of them. Anything further west than about 10W is behind trees from here, and 50E is about as far round as I get the other way.
Some of the remaining signals are low powered as we are out of the main footprint of the signal, and to receive these you are going to need a big dish. If anyone has any more details of signals / satellites Im missing, let me know.
