Sirius promo channel ceased November 2004. There are currently no fta analogue channels radiating off 1W  :-(

News from 5E

24th November 2004:    Sirius promo channel removed again at some point recently

19th September 2004:      Astra 1A lost its test cards during the week :-(    

11th August 2004:    The Sirius promo channel is back :-)

7th August 2004:    Sirius Promo channel om 12437V seems to have been discontinued within the last few days.

27th July 2004:    The Astra 1A test card on 11362H has moved to 11303H & that on 11391 H has moved to 11406V.

29th May 2004:    The Astra 1A test card on 11362H has returned.

24th May 2004:    The final D2Mac were switched off this morning.

16th May 2004:    I have seen a report stating that the final D2Mac channels will be closed down in the near future.

22nd February 2004:    11303H / 11362H on Astra 1A have been switched off again.

1st January 2004:    Cyprus Sat has ceased off 12265 H and gone digital only on 39°E    :-(

13th December 2003:    The Sirius promo tape is back. 2 more analogue transponders activated on Astra 1A!! (11303 H / 11362 H)

2nd November 2003:    The Sirius promo tape seems to have ceased off 12437 V.

D2 Mac channels

I have been asked to provide some information about the D2 Mac encoded channels on the Sirius satellites at 5E. These are scrambled in the D2MAC system, and will not be visible unless you have the right cards and decoders. However, as they are analogue signals, I am happy to add them to the page.

These signals are all on a Nordic beam, so unless you live in Northern Europe, you will need a very big dish to receive them.

1st April 2005:    ZTV Sweden (11862V) & TV3 Sweden (12092 V) ceased this morning .

10th March 2005:    ZTV Sweden & TV3 Sweden are reported to be ceasing mid April.

5th June 2004:    Very strange - the D2Mac channels have been reactivated in the last couple of days!

24th May 2004:    ZTV Sweden (11862 V) & TV 3 Sweden (12092 V) ceased this morning. That is the end of D2 Mac transmissions from 5E  :-(

21st April 2004:    ZTV Norge ceased off 11919 H yesterday :-(
