Ross Lockley - your webmaster :-)

Ever wondered who the crazy bloke is behind this website? Well this is me -  forgetting all about the computers at work, and even satellite tv for a weekend. My other main hobby is hill walking, and Im slowly working my way through all the English & Welsh 2000' mountains. This pic was taken during a long weekend away in the Lake District during February 2003.

I'm not normally that bearded - but it was VERY cold up on those mountains! Im up on top of the wonderfully remote Carrock Fells in the northern part of Lakeland.

So what do I do? Well I spend most of my time running the increasingly dilapidated computer network at the local High School, I like a pint of real ale in my local pubs in Galashiels (Ladhope Inn / Salmon Inn / Hunters Hall) Im an active member of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) which means i have to regularly test as many beers as possible!

I'm often to be seen out and about on the local roads on my beloved if rather battered Trek 4300 mountain bike. Well theoretically its a mountain bike, but as its mainly used on the road, its been heavily modified and has semi slick tyres on it (with anti puncture inserts), mud guards and a luggage rack on the back. Im a local volunteer ranger for my local section of the Sustrans National Cycle Network and can often be found out & about on my section checking the signing and straigtening out any direction posts which the local kids have decided to turn round.

Any of my old comrades from Wolverhampton Polytechnic and Malham Tarn who run across this page are very welcome to contact me. I'd love to hear from you.
