Installing a dish behind a window - 2
(Darryl Gildroy)

Darryl is currently (March 2004) living in university halls od residence, and obviously isnt allowed a satellite dish on the outside of his wall. So like many other folk he experimented with an inside installation. To keep the dish stable behing its window, he uses a car tyre (now where have I seen that idea used before??!!)   :-)

It looks like Darryl is using a Sky Digital oval dish - nothing wrong with that, they work just as well as a traditional round dish.

"The first picture shows the dish in place on its tyre with the Pace Prima satellite receiver next to my TV and underneath my Playstation 2. The picture was taken in February 2004 and also shows my VCR, DVD Player and next to them my Acoustic Solutions DS 633 surround sound system. The satellite receiver is linked
to this and R&B night on MTV2 Pop (which I'm currently watching now!) sounds fantastic with the addition of the sub!"

"The second picture shows a wide view of the room as you walk into it: "
(Ed - Is that a Viva logo on the screen?)

Wide view of Darryls room.

"This is shows the view from outside. I think this was taken in January 2004 and was taken in the evening so the dish could be seen better from the outside with the light on."

The view from outside.

There you go - more proof that you can install dishes behing a window which faces in an appropriate direction.  :-)
